digestive health

Gastrointestinal health is directly correlated to our immune health. As you shift your focus to boosting your immunity, it is key to involve your gut. Do you often struggle with infections? Do you take antibiotics or over-the-counter medication on a frequent basis? Do you have vitamin deficiencies? These can all cause or contribute to what we call a leaky gut, and a leaky gut can lead to skin issues, allergies, or depression, among other things. Focusing on the reparation of your digestive health will facilitate the strengthening of your immune system amidst the pandemic.

Psycho-emotional support

In these trying times, our physical health depends on our mental health more than ever. The human body has a field of energy pulsing not only through our nervous system, but throughout every cell that forms our overall organism. Dr. Absi uses Bio Energy techniques to aid in re-balancing the body’s energy field. These techniques also include unblocking any blockages which may be causing imbalances and help boost the immune system.

ORAL SYSTEMIC BIOPHYSICS

Dr. Absi’s experience as a dentist facilitates the provision of these oral-systemic frequency assessments. Although this does not replace nor equate to a dental visit, the mouth can be very telling about imbalances, as there is a link between our teeth (and more generally even, our head and neck area) and different organs in our body. For example, when toxins build up in a tooth, this can affect an organ that is on the same acupuncture meridian. This organ can then become unhealthy. The opposite is also possible - dysfunction in an organ can lead to an issue in a tooth on that same meridian.

HOW CAN WELLNESS BE VIRTUAL?

Virtual visits have many advantages, among which is less time wasted in a waiting room. Time is saved in many ways, as there is no need to sanitize the clinical area and more time can be invested in the individual who is seeking practical advice. People love to be heard and understood. What better way than specialized, focused attention?

In-person visits are clearly valuable when we need to do body work and they are even necessary at times, yet through virtual visits, people can participate in a session simply through an internet connection or a phone call, all without leaving the comfort of their home.

HOW DO WE MAKE THESE VIRTUAL SESSIONS POSSIBLE? WHAT DO THEY CONSIST OF?

It is up to you whether you choose to have a phone call vs a video session (using Cisco Webex, a HIPAA-compliant platform). During a session, we spend some time doing a discovery of your history, present symptoms and health goals. We then decide if testing might be helpful and make some recommendations. If testing kits are necessary, they will be  mailed directly to you.

WHAT IF I HAVE A CONDITION THAT DOESN’T FIT INTO THESE CATEGORIES? CAN YOU STILL HELP ME DURING THE PANDEMIC?

Our virtual reach is not limited to the services listed above. Some of our services require a clinic visit, so these services have been reduced to those that can happen without them. That being said, we can always find a way to address your needs through other methods for the time being.

WHAT IF I DON’T KNOW WHERE TO START? I JUST WANT TO BOOST MY IMMUNITY DURING THESE SCARY TIMES.

Immunity is a deeply rooted process based in large part in our large intestines, which hold an enormous number of microbes. These blend with the antigenic effects provided by our nutrition, as well as by the pathogens to which we are exposed daily. We should aim to equip our gut with proper soldiers, keeping one goal in mind: balance and an appropriate response mechanism. The “gut flora” which consists of microbes in the digestive system, assists in maintaining a balance in the immune system by fighting off harmful bugs. Once imbalances of the gut microbes get settled in, the results can affect the immune system function and lead to different illnesses including the common immune complications such as a flu.

Ultimately, working on immunity involves working on your gut, which encompasses an assessment of the foods ingested, the toxic burden, and everything else affecting the gut.

WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO FOR A TESTing KIT?

Testing involves a different kit depending on the test involved. The box will be shipped out to you with specific instructions and directions. Once the collection of a sample is achieved and mailed either back to us or to the laboratory, we will receive a report. The explanations are presented to you during a follow-up appointment.
